The rest of the cast adds to comic relief as well, and, yes, John Ratzenberger is in this Pixar film. Merida’s brothers, the triplets, add some very funny comic relief without ever speaking a word. Pixar has made a story that is funny and touching at the same time. She is one you will want your children to know about, not just the girls but the boys, too. You may be thinking that we don’t need another princess for Disney to add to the group it already has. The backgrounds of the Scottish countryside provide a wonderful sight for the eyes. Merida’s hair is a vibrant red and keeping it waving with all its curls must have been a very daunting task. “Brave” is a beautiful story and visually stunning. Pixar has made a marvelous film about the love of family and the courage it takes to admit you’re wrong. She is led to a witch in the forest who gives her a spell to use on her mother.įor those of you who have been waiting for the next Pixar film to come out, your patience is about to be rewarded. They argue over the matter and Merida runs away. Her mother has been preparing her from the day she was born for this event and sees Merida’s rebellion as troublesome. So many love what the two companies do with these films, it is not surprising to find that numerous individuals want to know about their newest feature, “Brave.” So much so, you will almost always see one of these films running when you enter any pediatrician or dentist office. Films like “Finding Nemo,” “Monsters Inc.” and the “Toy Story” series have engrained themselves into our culture. The Disney and Pixar collaboration over the years has presented unique films that audiences enjoy watching many times over. All of the characters in the movie were interesting to look at actually. The highlight of this film for me was admiring the luscious, curly locks of Merida. ![]() I also would have loved to have seen some of the characters a bit more developed and with more bits and gags because they were set up so well in trailers and in the film. ![]() I only note this because we have seen such creative, one of a kind stories come from the same outlet, such as Up and Wall-E, so the bar was raised high for me. Overall, I felt parts of the story were similar to the “princess with predetermined circumstances that longs for something different” stories we’ve heard before. They were human-like but in a different way and perfect for their purpose. I throughly enjoyed the mannerisms of some animals that are main characters in the story. This film is fantastically, visually appealing as Pixar created a magical rendition of Scotland for the story to take place. Stakes are high all throughout the film and viewers are quickly whisked into the story and intrigued when things go wrong. In Brave, she wants to change her fate and realizes her attempt may have brought her and her family into an unchangeable situation. In case you didn’t catch the “wouldjya” reference it’s part of the question Merida, the protagonist princess in the film, asks audiences about changing their fate in the promotional trailer. If you could see an adventurous, bow and arrow shootin’, redheaded, Scottish princess in a thrilling tale.wouldjya? I did and plan to again.
